Cagibi is the site of Brunch Extravagante, hosted by Café O’Lait Cabaret. The most important meal of the day will be accompanied by performances from Lady Hoops, Tessa J. Brown, Mikki Michelle and more. 5490 St-Laurent, 10:30 a.m.–2 p.m., $30 (includes brunch)

The weather might not be kind on this last day of Festival Nuits d’Afrique, which is mounting free shows all day long on the Loto-Québec stage in the Quartier des Spectacles, but the main event is Afrique en Cirque, featuring Productions Kalabanté, encompassing music, dance, acrobatics and traditional African arts. Corner Clark & de Maisonneuve, performances beginning at 11:30 a.m. with Afrique en Cirque at 9:30 p.m., free

Mile End izakaya Thazard is having an afternoon Japanese BBQ, with food, cocktails and music by DJ Juju le Moko. 5329 St-Laurent (entry through the backdoor in the alley btwn St-Laurent & St-Dominique), 1–6 p.m., $15 per person (includes food)
