The Satosphère

Galerie Yves Laroche hosts Osheaga’s annual Music on Paper collection of screen-printed concert posters, plus a bonus exhibition of photos by Susan Moss, documenting some of the most exciting moments from the music festival’s first decade (20052014). 6355 St-Laurent, 5–9 p.m., free

Chinatown music lounge Luwan launches a snack bar menu tonight with a 5à7 to celebrate, with dumplings and other goodies from the new menu, plus specials on summery cocktails. 1050 Clark, 5–10 p.m., free

At the Jazz Fest, South African jazz pianist Abdullah Ibrahim plays the first of three nights of consecutive shows at the Gèsu. Tonight he plays solo (1200 Bleury, 6 p.m., $40 to $47.35), tomorrow with the Mukashi trio and on Friday he’s playing alongside Ekaya. Also at the Jazz Fest tonight, Montreal reggae artist Face-T plays a free show on the Bell stage (Clark & de Montigny, 8 p.m.)

Stop in at Maison Sociale for the launch of Kosh Week, a weeklong celebration of Jewish-themed food with special menu items at participating restaurants like Chez Boris, Fabergé, ART:brgr and les Enfants Terribles. 5386 St-Laurent, 6:30 p.m., free.

Xavier Dolan’s latest film, the fabulous and disturbing Mommy, is screening outdoors in the Plateau, at Parc des Compagnons, in its original joual. (Seriously, this is only for the ultra-bilingual. Check the Blu-ray if you need subs.) Mont-Royal & Cartier, 9 p.m., free

Head to the SAT for the first night of Dômesicle, a summer-long weekly dance party complete with next-level 360-degree video projections in the trippy SATosphère and adjacent terrasse, with a rotating line-up of DJs and VJs. 1201 St-Laurent, 10 p.m., $6
