Studio 303 has teamed up with Festival TransAmériques to present the Spark Studio Series with presentations from FTA performers. Today’s event features Yeux de cérès by Eduardo Ruiz Vergara and Ilya Krouglikov plus The Trouble With Reality by Karen Fennell and Jackie Gallant. 372 Ste-Catherine W., #303, 2 p.m., free

Also at the Festival TransAméiques tonight, Tel Aviv-based dancer/choreographer Arkadi Zaides combines dance and film footage to present a powerful political message in Archive. The Stephen Lewis Foundation hosts a bilingual evening of conversation called The Ask Her Talks: African Women on Philanthropy, Change and Power featuring six panelists including Theo Sowa, CEO of the African Women’s Development Fund and spoken word performer SashOYA Simpson. 853 Sherbrooke W., 7 p.m., $20
