If you’re looking for a novel 5à7 spot, the Terrasses Bonsecours is opening for the season today. Music by DJ Yo-C. 364 de la Commune W., 5 p.m.

The FTA (Festival TransAmériques) is approaching quickly, and its spinoff, OFFTA launches today with outdoor festivities in Place Émilie-Gamelin’s new summer garden, Jardins Gamelin. For the next three weekends, OFFTA will take over the square with installations, performances, games and more. Get your first look this evening with the organizers and artists. Spring is in full bloom at Old Montreal’s Galerie 203 where artist Peter Farmer is hosting a vernissage for The Hanging Gardens Collection, a series of abstract and angular floral paintings. Each canvas will be flanked by bouquets of fresh blossoms as depicted in the works, creating a multi-sensory experience. Music by Andres Velilla. 203 Notre-Dame W., 6 p.m., free
