In Ville St-Laurent, it’s day one of the FAB sample sale, offering deals on men’s, women’s and kids’ clothing and accessories from Bench, Scotch & Soda, Maison Scotch, Garcia, Supertrash and Silvian Heach (through Sunday). 1035 Hodge, 9 a.m.–8 p.m.

Downtown club Foonzo hosts a real-life/online crowd-fundraiser for Ultimate Chicken Horse, an already playable game that’s getting a Kickstarter boost to fully come to fruition. The event will be streamed live. 1245 Drummond, 6–9 p.m.,

The Wiggle Room’s classic movie nights — Nickel Flicks — screens The General, starring and directed by silent comedy legend Buster Keaton. 3874 St-Laurent, doors at 7:30 p.m., movie at 8 p.m., 5¢

See Last One Standing Productions’ play The Den of Thieves, a black comedy originally developed for Philip Seymour Hoffman, at Espace 4001. The play runs nightly through Saturday 4001 Berri, 8 p.m., $20/$15 students and QDF members. $1 from each ticket goes to the Canadian Cancer Society.
