A special winter warmer for the beer and whiskey connoisseur, La Cuvée opens tonight, offering a chance to sample potables from dozens of microbreweries and distilleries, plus plenty of specially selected snacks. Église Saint-Enfant-Jésus (5035 St-Dominique), 5 p.m.–12 a.m., $10–$15. Continues to Saturday.

Award-winning documentary Roadmap to Apartheid will be screened at McGill’s Islamic Studies Library, followed by a panel discussion about the film’s comparison of South African apartheid and the struggles of contemporary Palestinians. Tuesday Night Café (3485 McTavish, #017), 6 p.m.

Screening tonight at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois festival is FM Youth, a coming-of-age story set in a French community in Manitoba, rumoured to feature music by Montreal musicians.
