QPIRG McGill celebrates 10 years of its annual workshop series Social Justice Days with a stacked three-day line-up that begins today, open to all students and community members. Today’s events include discussions and workshops about police brutality, accessibility and ableism, and queer and trans alliance building. Check the website for full details. Emerging-arts festival Art Matters warms up ahead of their regular programming with a discussion between Renaissance gif specialist Scorpion Dagger and Harley Smart of Anteism Press, who’ve published the artist’s new augmented-reality-enhanced book, Do You Like Relaxing. Poet, author and singer Saul Williams, speaking and performing tonight at the Phi Centre, introduced the slam poetry movement to new audiences around the world through his 1998 film Slam, and has since collaborated with the likes of Kanye West, Nas, Janelle Monáe, the Roots and many more. Montreal punks Ultrathin launch a self-titled LP at l’Escogriffe tonight, with support from Birds of Paradise (a duo feat. Roy Vucino of Red Mass, PYPY, ex-Sexareenos, CPC Gangbangs etc) and Perverted Justice. 4467 St-Denis, 9 p.m., $5

Catch the debut edition of Yes All Girls, a celebration of female musicians with DJ Annie Q, who promises yéyé, krautrock, mutant disco, punk, post-punk, no wave, leftfield electro and bad-ass ’60s girls bands.
