Gummo

If you haven’t yet seen Récidive, Galerie C.O.A’s exhibition of Spazuk’s artworks — created by drawing with the smoky residue of an active flame — now’s your chance. The exhibit comes down at the end of the week. 6405 St-Laurent, 9 a.m.–5 p.m., free

This week’s edition of group discussion gathering University of the Streets Café focuses on Prejudice, Access and the Everyday. YWCA (1355 René-Lévesque W.), 7 p.m., free

As part of their carte blanche curatorial series at the Phi Centre, Métafilms presents a screening of Harmony Korine’s 1997 loser-core classic Gummo. 407 St-Pierre, 7:30 p.m., $11.25

Kalmunity Vibe Collective marks Black History Month (which they’ve redubbed Black Liberation Month) with the first of its weekly themed concerts in February. Tonight the focus is on Benin to Bahia and Africville. Les Bobards (4328 St-Laurent), 8 p.m., $5 before 8:30 p.m./$10
