Many of the city’s galleries are on break for the holidays, but you can still take in some art today at Galerie LeRoyer’s downtown space, where Marie-Josée Roy’s exhibition Le chant quantique with sculptures of figures rising from geometric steel lattices, is showing for its final day. 2170 de la Montagne, 12–6 p.m., free

Le Bleury’s Hot Butter screening series takes a break from music documentaries to present Samsara (2011), another spellbinding travelogue film by Ron Fricke (Koyaanisqatsi, Baraka). The screening will be followed by DJs Dan & Den. 2109 Bleury, doors at 7 p.m., 8 p.m., free

Bethlehem XXX will be the site of Montreal’s Top 1 Best Dinner Party of 2014, ℅ Beaver Sheppard and DL Jones. 6568 St-Laurent, 9 p.m.
