A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night

Join LOKI Design and B L C K M S S N at Articule for the launch of their collaborative Precari-tee project, which links fashion design with social commentary by pairing the T-shirt with the zine We Are All Very Anxious. 262 Fairmount W., 6 p.m., free

Ana Lily Amirpour’s A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, a festival favourite at this year’s FNC, screens at the Phi Centre. It’s the story of a lonesome vampire in a deserted Iranian city that AO Scott of the New York Times called “a rock ’n’ roll Persian feminist fable.” Phi Centre (407 St-Pierre), 7:30 p.m., $11.25

Local indie punk/rock bands Solids and Heat are playing Live From Breakglass — either attend the show at the Mile Ex studio (7250 Clark, 8:30 p.m., $10) or listen live here.

Toronto indie rom-rock band Alvvays play la Sala Rossa with fellow 416-ers Moon King — both were listed on CBC’s top 30 Canadian albums of 2014 — and Montrealers Look Vibrant. 4848 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $13/$15

POP Montreal is hosting the uRock l’Amour holiday party, marking the centennial of porn theatre Cinéma l’Amour, the 10th anniversary of live karaoke band uRockaoke, the middle of Hannukah and imminent yuletide revellery. 4015 St-Laurent, 10:30 p.m., $10/$12
