Peter Peter launches album with free show at Cabaret du Mile End

Snap up some sweet back-to-school threads at the first day of Vintage Pop’s fall edition, a pop-up vintage clothing sale. 19 Prince Arthur W., 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In case you’re not depressed enough by the election results, check out the doomsaying documentary double bill of The New Great Game (Canadian political scion Alexandre Trudeau’s overview of the political changes going on in the Middle East) and Blood and Oil (which compiles evidence that the USA’s geopolitical adventures are, indeed, motivated by lust for the latter substance). The films screen through Thursday at Cinéma du Parc. 3575 Parc, 7:15 p.m.

Get dolled up in your best glitter and pasties for some Burlesque Bowling. Cult MTL’s photographer will be there to document all the sexy disco-bowl antics. Quilles G Plus, The Forum, 920 St-Zotique E., 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Local singer-songwriter Peter Peter launches his stellar new pop record, Une version améliorée de la tristesse, tonight. Cabaret du Mile End (5240 Parc), 9 p.m., free
