If you’re looking for Christmas Spirit, or simply a festive place to take some kids, Mont-Royal Avenue should be your destination. Conversely, if that’s not your bag at all, avoid Mont-Royal Avenue at all costs.

(And for a comprehensive list of art markets and craft fairs, look here.)

Comedians Morgan O’Shea and Guido Cocomello were set to headline the Comedyworks when it was unceremoniously shuttered without so much as a farewell show earlier this year. But Comedyworks lives for one night only with Live From the Comedyworks at Théâtre Sainte Catherine, headlined by O’Shea and Cocomello and with the old staff of the ‘works in place for one night only. 264 Ste-Catherine E., 8 p.m., $15

Local record label Art Not Love showcases all but one of the artists on its roster — Hua Li, ¡FLIST!, Saxsyndrum and Toronto’s DirtyOrgans — in what promises to be a messy night at Brasserie Beaubien. Expect visuals by Tyler Reekie, “secret DJs” and “art stole from Jonny Negron,” too. Check out our interview with the label’s founders here. Brasserie Beaubien (73 Beaubien E.), 9:30 p.m.

Over the Breaks and Wyzah Music present the More Bounce Funk Revival, pairing the musicians from the Real Love R&B band with Voyage Funktastique (aka Walla P and Dr. Mad), along with guest singers and MCs.Le Belmont (4483 St-Laurent), 10 p.m., $10/$12

In Hochelaga, a new soirée for the queer/LGBT crowd (& friends): Let’s Have a Kiki, with DJ Wilde Boy and door diva Phany Price. Atomic Café (Ontario E.), 10 p.m., $3
