Hands up
A protester in Ferguson

Two big protest marches are going down today, first against austerity, departing from Place du Canada (Peel & René-Lévesque, 1 p.m.)., and in memory of Michael Brown of Ferguson, MO,  a protest against racial profiling and police aggression towards racialized communities at 6 p.m. at Phillips Square (Ste-Catherine & Phillips)

It’s the last day of the three-day Tiger sample sale, offering deals on brands such as WeSC, Penfield, Brixton, Gram, Poler, Deus Ex Machina and Lifetime. 1001 Lenoir A205, 125 p.m.

If you’re shopping, whether for yourself or for gifts, be aware that today is Shop the Neighbourhood day. Check out our round-up of Black Friday deals at small, local businesses (some of which are on today, too) and our round-up of craft fairs and pop-up shops.

There are still two opportunities to catch an exciting one-woman show at the Segal Centre Studio: Bunny Bunny Gilda Radner: A Sort-of Love Story is on tonight and Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. 5170 Côte-Ste-Catherine, 8 p.m., $25/$18 students/$20 seniors

Crème de la Cream hosts an all-night party at Nomad Nation featuring a pop-up shop with fresh local designers, live haircuts and tats, late night BBQ eats, and DJ sets by Dead Obies, Melt and more. 129 Van Horne, 5 p.m.5 a.m., $10$15
