Time for another edition of Restaurant Day, an international culinary carnival of DIY pop-up restaurants in parks, alleyways and side streets. For more info about participating pop-ups, look here.

Montreal’s biggest indie and small-press fair is back. Expozine features over 300 presenters of zines, books, comics, artworks and other printed material, many offering small runs unavailable anywhere else. 5035 St-Dominique, SatSun 126 p.m., free

Dust off your casserole, it’s protest time. Meet at Place Norman Bethune to demonstrate against fossil fuel development and the Plan Nord, organized by Coalition ÉCO (students against pipelines). Corner Guy & de Maisonneuve W., 1 p.m., free

The biggest LGBT party in town (hors Village), MEC Plus Ultra, celebrates its sixth birthday at le Belmont, with DJs Eskimo, Montag and Diskommander. 4483 St-Laurent, 10 p.m., $5 (and free drink) before 11 p.m./$7
