The MAC goes into party mode with their Friday evening Nocturne series, featuring DJs A-Rock, Shaydakiss and Heidy P, as well as a set by violinist Jessica Moss. The museum’s a Biennale exhibition will be accessible until 2 a.m. 185 Ste-Catherine E., 5 p.m., $14/$10 students

Party Like It’s 1699’s Le Pop d’Époque, an immersive “digital baroque opera” currently screening nightly at the Satosphère, has a special guest in the mix for tonight’s show (which also includes food from the SAT’s Foodlab), namely Hua Li, the alien rap alter-ego of local artist Peggy Hogan. 1201 St-Laurent, 7 p.m., $42.25

Cinemania guest of honour Lambert Wilson introduces Xavier Beauvois’s Of Gods and Men, an Cannes Grand Prix-winning 2010 film about a group of Trappist monks held hostage by Islamic fundamentalists in a small Algerian village. Comedy at the Brass Door Pub is a new-ish comedy show hosted by Mike Gowing and Walter J. Lyng. Mike Paterson (fresh off a headlining gig at the Comedy Nest) will be closing the show alongside Jacob Greco, Thanos Michailopoulos, Morgan O’Shea and more. Best of all? It’s free.
