Whiplash is a film about music, ambition and obsession, revolving around the tutelage of an aspiring drummer (played by Miles Teller) by an unconventional instructor (J.K. Simmon). The film, only the second feature by U.S. writer/director Damien Chazelle, won the grand jury prize at Sundance this year. Watch the trailer here.
