On the heels of Labour Day, RIDM’s outdoor film-screening series continues with Workingman’s Death, a 2005 documentary about extreme working conditions across the globe. Place de la Paix, just south of SAT (1201 St-Laurent — the screening will take place here if it rains), 9 p.m., free

Up at Casa, heavy instrumentalists Set and Setting (from St. Petersburg, FLA) play alongside locals Atsuko Chiba and (wait for it) Christ. This will go deep. 4873 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $8 before the first band/$10
