It’s demo time, folks. The Howl Arts collective and Tadamon are asking people to bring their pots and pans to participate in some good old community activism in solidarity with the Palestinians of Gaza, featuring sounds and songs of resistance. See the details here. Mont-Royal metro, 5:30 p.m.

My First Time, hosted by Darren Henwood and Richardson Zéphir, showcases some up-and-coming local stand-up talent as part of Zoofest. Théâtre Ste-Catherine (264 Ste-Catherine E.), 7 p.m., $23.67

At Place des Arts, Just for Laughs presents Aziz Ansari, who performs his new stand-up show, Modern Romance, twice! Théâtre Maisonneuve (175 Ste-Catherine W.), 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., $62.35

Local electro-soul/future-pop chanteuse Sarah Linhares is back after some time away from MTL, and she’s reuniting with her partner Future Falcon to play live at le Bleury, with DJ Scott C setting the scene. 2109 Bleury, 8 p.m., $8

Fans of skwee and live electronic junk jams should check out Ancient Robot’s show at Casa tonight, with Wankers United, Fengir and Fade Runner. 4873 St-Laurent, 9 p.m., $5
