The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger

Archive Montreal mounts an exhibit of local poster art, zines and other cultural ephemera from the 1960s to the ’00s as part of the Suoni per il Popolo festival. Casa del Popolo (4873 St-Laurent), 5-8 p.m.

The Cinémathèque québécoise’s retrospective on Montreal Iraqi director Joe Balass begins today. Tonight’s programme includes On a Very Violet Night in the Apartments Daphne, Nana, George et Moi and Baghdad Twist. 335 de Maisonneuve E., 6:30 p.m., $8

Tonight’s edition of the Wiggle Room’s weekly vaudeville variety show Voix-de-Ville features performances by juggler Cam Fleming, comedian Francois Tousigneault, clown Phachinah, singer Viviane Trottier, burlesque from Sugar Vixen, singer/songwriter Roisin Tuohy and illusionist Pablo Solis. 3874 St-Laurent, 8 p.m., $10
