Tomorrow, Saturday, April 19, is Record Store Day, an observance that shines a light on brick and mortar shops that sell vinyl. To see our list of 29 titles to look for, from the hundreds of exclusive releases coming out tomorrow, click here.

The following is a list of local stores participating in RSD 2014, with opening and closing hours and, where applicable, details about the in-store performances that they’ve planned. All locations will be loaded with special RSD releases.
 

Atom Heart

364 Sherbrooke E.

10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Rien de speciale here, but Atom Heart is off a lot of people’s radars, so it’s potentially a good bet for exclusives.

 

Aux 33 Tours

1373 Mont-Royal E. 514-524-7397

9:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.

There will be discounts of 25 and 50 per cent off selected items from the store’s regular stock. Record sales end at 6 p.m., when performances begin, by Louis-Philippe Gingras, Red Mass, Canailles, Buddy McNeil and the Magic Mirrors, Toast Dawg and Suuns, in that order.

 

Beatnick

3770 St-Denis

9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Though it was unconfirmed at publish-time, there will likely be a discount on the store’s used stock.

 

Cheap Thrills

2044 Metcalfe, 2nd floor

11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

D’Eon performs at 3 p.m. and there are 25 per cent discounts on hundreds of vinyl records and CDs.

 

L’Oblique

4333 Rivard

10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Expect performances beginning at noon, by Michel Faubert, Hrsta, Fred Woods, Philémon Cimon, François Désaulniers, Foret, Caltar-Bateau, Armadillo and Heirloom, in that order.

 

Phonopolis

207 Bernard W.

11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

There’s be a 15 per cent off all regular stock, and Mike Feuerstack performs at 6 p.m.

 

Sound Central

4486 Coloniale

11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Simon Kingsbury, the singer from Quebec indie rock band Lac Estion, performs from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and there’ll be up to 30 per cent off selected stock.

 

Sonorama

9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Expect 10 per cent off regular stock (which is mostly used), and (possibly) an acoustic performance late in the day. ■
