The Goods Black Cinema Series screens the Canadian premiere of Bobbito Garcia’s Doin’ It in the Park, about the history, culture and social impact of New York’s summer b-ball scene at 3 p.m., as well as Rockers, Ted Bafaloukos’s 1978 reggae-robbers flick, at 7 p.m. Rialto Theatre (5723 Parc), $10/screening

Les Beats 001 is a Centre-Sud party with DJs Buck Smith, Phil Sparkz and Rilly Guilty, with eye candy care of VJ Jason Voltaire. And if you can’t make it, you can tune in to a live stream from home (find the link here). Studio 301 (2025 Parthenais), 3–11 p.m., $5, BYOB, “no cell phone area”
