Sixteen local artists present portraits of the saints our streets are named for, painting the vibe of the neighbourhoods they name. Check ‘em out tonight at the City of Saints vernissage. Galerie 203 (203 Notre-Dame W.), 6 p.m.–12 a.m., $10

Young local gallery Station 16, which was notably ripped off earlier this month, launches its month-long Kickstarter campaign for A Global Street Art Story, a project that aims to create 16 silkscreen prints with 16 international street artists over 16 months. 3523 St-Laurent, 6–8:30 p.m.

RIDM celebrates the premiere of Kathleen Hanna doc The Punk Singer, with performances by punk and noise bands UN, Petty Sweat and Jef Barbara. RIDM HQ (3450 St-Urbain), 8:30 p.m., free

The M for Montreal music festival starts tonight and runs through Saturday — see our recommendations for each night here. First up: Dears singer Murray Lightburn playing material from his stellar solo LP, spectacular art-rockers Yamantaka // Sonic Titan and rising ambient pop act Seoul. La Sala Rossa (4848 St-Laurent), 9:30 p.m., $18.25

There’s more cool rock ’n’ roll to be had in the form of San Diego noise/pop band Crocodiles, with opener Wymond Miles. Divan Orange (4234 St-Laurent), 9:30 p.m., $12
