War Hunt

Concordia’s SIPA Short Works theatre fest wraps today, making this your last chance to see 20–40-minute-long productions created entirely by undergrads. Cazalet Theatre (F. C. Smith Auditorium, 7141 Sherbrooke W.), 1–8 p.m., $5/$2 students

To mark Remembrance Day, Le Cinéclub: The Film Society screen the 1962 Korean War film War Hunt (Robert Redford’s first appearance on screen) and the Oscar-winning 1954 short A Time Out of War, both directed by Denis Sanders. Cinéma VA-114 (1395 René-Lévesque W.), 7 p.m., $8 or $6 for students or 65+

Bass is the place tonight as Cabaret Underworld hosts another edition of We Broke the Beats: Battle of the Bassheads, this time with Bass Ventura and Bass Mechanics, with support from Turtilian, Famelik and Kurse. 1403 Ste-Elisabeth, 8 p.m., free before 11 p.m./$4

Blue Dog hosts a night of club anthems, old-school and sweet sweet soul with DJs Blaster, J-Kutz, Jason Bourne and CKUT Sounds of Soul host V-Mind (it’s his birthday, buy him a shot). 3958 St-Laurent, 11 p.m., free
