The Machine Which Makes Everything Disappear

The Mile End welcomes a new salon/cultural space as Coifferie Paradiso throws open its doors with a launch party tonight, with drinks, snacks, screenings and music. 5382A du Parc, 7–11 p.m., free

Docville presents a screening of Georgian documentary The Machine Which Makes Everything Disappear, a sensitive portrait of today’s Georgian youth by filmmaker Tinatin Gurchiani, who’ll participate in a Q&A via Skype after the film. Cinema Excentris (3536 St-Laurent), 8 p.m., $11.75
