Catch some brunch and culture at the same time, as BC/Montreal artist Sherry Walchuk gives a talk about her latest exhibition, For My Dad. Articule (262 Fairmount W.), 12:00 p.m.

Cinéma du Parc continues it’s celebration of 100 years of Indian Cinema with two award winning films, Kati Patang (1970) and Pakeezah (1972), screening today at 3:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively. 3575 Parc, $7

Artists for Animals fundraiser, a group show and sale featuring animal-themed works, vegan treats and zines. Some proceeds from the sale will benefit Sit With Me shelter and dog rescue. Entrée des Artistes (3692 St-Denis), 6–11 p.m.

CKUT 90.3FM celebrates its 25th anniversary tonight at Sala, with live music by Key Lites and the Dykes on Mics OrcHERstra (playing that iconic theme song) plus CKUT DJs Butcher T, We Funk‘s Professor Groove, the Venus Collective and a bottomless pit of birthday cake. 4848 St-Laurent, 7:30 p.m., $10 before 10 p.m./$12
