Celebrate your fleeting youth at the closing party for Youth Well Wasted, an Art Matters show curated by Lori Allison Noel that documents the extreme thrills of adolescence. The finissage will also feature performances by Boy Clothes and Katie Krawczyk. BBAM! Gallery (3255 St-Jacques), 6–9 p.m.

Meanwhile, at Agora de la danse, Vancouver choreographer Wen Wei Wang opens a four-day run of his latest piece, Seventh Sense. 840 Cherrier, 8 p.m., $24–$32

It’s opening night for Montreal choreographer Mélanie Demers’s latest work, Goodbye, a piece exploring the theme of individual responsibility. Usine C (1345 Lalonde), 9 p.m., $10–$14

From NYC via Providence, Javelin transmit their mixed-genre sounds with FM radio and piles of colourfully painted boomboxes (“boombaatas”). It’s a novel show and a cool sound, with Raleigh Moncrief and guests opening. Il Motore (179 Jean-Talon W.), 10 p.m., $7
