The Salon du disque et des arts underground de Montréal, part of the ongoing Under the Snow festival, gathers over 100 vendors under one roof, selling music, print publications, art, clothing and accessories of all kinds, with live music and other treats on hand to guarantee good times while you shop. Art Mûr ushers in its spring programming with a vernissage for four new shows, by artists Sonny Assu, Renato Garza Cervera, Bevan Ramsay and Cooke-Sasseville (see On the walls for more info). 5826 St-Hubert, 3–5 p.m., free

Tonight is also the vernissage for artist Kim Waldron’s Beautiful Creatures, which looks at the stages of turning animal to meat — the slaughterer, the butcher and the cook — alongside stuffed animal figures.
