Nicole J. Georges and Cassie J. Sneider are in town to launch their latest books. Georges promotes her new graphic memoir Calling Dr. Laura, while fellow Sister Spit alum will tell you about Fine Fine Music, about rock fandom and minimum wage jobs. Also on hand for the event are special guests Graham and Diane, featuring Lex Vaughn. Jeppe on a Friday, local documentarian Shannon Walsh’s collaboration with South African filmmaker Arya Lalloo documenting a day in the life of a Johannesburg neighbourhood, screens as part of the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois, with Alex B.
