Pop Montreal’s Mini-forêt Pop des Fêtes, with work by artists Alain Cheung, Ohara Hale, Adam Waito, Tyler Rauman, Samantha Purdy, Julie Lequin and Mike Mason, has its vernissage today with DJs, drinks and good cheer. Espace Pop (5587 Parc), 5 p.m., free

If you missed Roméo Onze, a 21st-story coming-of-age story, the understated drama is one of the better Quebec films this year, and worth seeing on the big screen. Director Ivan Grbovic will present the FNC prize-winner tonight at the Cinémathèque québécoise. 335 Maisonneuve E., 6:30 p.m.

Radio Radio bring their chiac-inflected ruckus with openers Loud Lary Ajust. Cabaret du Mile End (5240 Parc), 8 p.m., $20

Or get your roots on with locals The Sin and the Swoon and Angela Desveaux. Casa del popolo (4673 St-Laurent), 9 p.m., $8
