Get yourself down to the Santa Claus Parade for festive floats, holiday treats and a sighting of the bearded gent himself. Ste-Catherine, between du Fort and St-Urbain, 11 a.m.

Studio Sale! Jen Glasgow Design is selling everything from skirts and dresses to winter clothes and accessories to little bits and bobs at super reduced prices straight from the studio. 5445 de Gaspé, studio 914, 11 a.m.–6 p.m.

Don’t miss Expozine, the massive small press and self-published book, comic, poster and art sale that celebrates its 11th edition this year. Basement of the Église St-Enfant Jésus (5035 St-Dominique), 12–6 p.m., free admission

Two new shows, Mathieu Lévesque’s Puzzle and McLeod/Olley/Painter’s collaborative Espaces indicibles use architectural approaches to craft interesting and architectural art pieces. Galerie Trois Points (Belgo Building, 372 Ste-Catherine W., #539), 3 p.m.

Canadian filmmaker Seth Smith’s low-budget brain-melter Lowlife, which we recommended as “the perfect viewing experience for a late night under the influence” upon its Fantasia screening, returns to town; surely the same will be true for a matinée. BBAM! Gallery (3255 St-Jacques), doors 2 p.m., screening 3:15 pm, $5

Last chance to flex your girl-geek pride at 80085, the closing party for HTMlles featuring Dirtyboots and Anitabreak, un, Patty Schmidt, the Venus Collective DJs, and more. Royal Phoenix (5788 St-Laurent), 10 p.m.

Persephone Productions is mounting a production of Hamlet, starring Christopher Moore as the moody Dane. Victoria Hall (4636 Sherbrooke, Westmount), 8 p.m., $15-25

The M for Montreal music fest’s grand finale features some truly stellar live bands, namely Death Grips and Yamantaka // Sonic Titan too. Check their programming here!

Experimental documentary Leviathan, which our reviewer called “a cinematic marvel,” screens at RIDM. Excentris (3536 St-Laurent), 9:15 p.m.
