Pierre Poilievre is still the most unpopular party leader in Canada

Mark Carney leads all major party leaders in favourability.

According to a study by the Angus Reid Institute, Pierre Poilievre is still the most unpopular party leader in Canada.

Net favourability of the Conservative Party leader sits at just -18%, well below that of Prime Minister Mark Carney (+28%) and Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet (+12%). NDP interim leader Don Davies currently has a net favourability of -16%.

“It’s been more than a month since Prime Minister Mark Carney secured a new minority mandate for the Liberals, and Canadians are more positive than not about what they’ve seen so far. Roughly 3 in 5 (57%) say they approve of Carney’s performance, double the number who disapprove (29%). Canadians’ positivity extends to several of the new government’s top priorities, notably removing inter-provincial trade barriers and strengthening relationships with other like-minded nations.”
