CCA exhibition Oscillating Spaces questions the role of architecture in a shifting climate

The exhibition features documents and art responding to and raising awareness of the complex consequences of glacier recession.

The Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) exhibition Oscillating Spaces looks to the Rhône Glacier — a site high up in the Swiss Alps that is rapidly melting — to question the role of architecture when confronted with a shifting climate.

The exhibition features glacier cartography, photography, film, ecclesiastical documents, tourist souvenirs and architectural archives, as well as works of contemporary art and architecture documenting the Alpine landscape, responding to and raising awareness of the complex consequences of glacier recession.

Oscillating Spaces is at the CCA (1920 Baile), April 25–Oct. 26, with an opening event on April 24.
