A David Lynch retrospective is on at Cinéma du Parc

“David Lynch has had a profound effect on the way I watch films and appreciate cinema,” says Parc programming director Jean-François Lamarche.

To pay tribute to late American auteur David Lynch, Cinéma du Parc is screening eight of his feature films throughout March and April as part of their Parc at Midnight series.

The independent Montreal cinema is presenting Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (March 7–9), Blue Velvet (March 14–16), Eraserhead (March 21–23), Wild at Heart (March 28–30), Lost Highway (April 4–6), The Straight Story (April 11–13), Mulholland Drive (April 18–20) and Inland Empire (April 25–27).

Cinéma du Parc programming director Jean-François Lamarche commented on Lynch’s passing in January, having shared his passion for the filmmaker’s work via multiple screenings at the theatre since 2006.

“David Lynch has had a profound effect on the way I watch films and appreciate cinema. His work has influenced my vision of filmmaking, and it’s impossible for me to talk about them without acknowledging this personal connection.”
