Support for Quebec sovereignty down 8 points in 3 months to 29%

The vast majority of Quebecers say they’re proud to be Canadian.

According to a study by Léger, just 29% of Quebecers support Quebec sovereignty, down 8 points since it was measured in November. There is currently a 30-point spread between those who support Quebec independence (29%) and those who do not (59%).

Support for sovereignty in Quebec is now at its lowest point since 2020.

A separate study by Research Co. found that there are more separatists in Alberta than there are in Quebec.

The vast majority of Quebecers say they’re proud to be Canadian (70%) and oppose Canada joining the United States (89%).
