Montreal broke a heat record today

According to CTV meteorologist Lori Graham, Montreal broke a heat record today with a high temperature of 31.9 degrees Celsius. The previous heat record for Sept. 6 in Montreal was 31.8 degrees, set in 1983.

The humidex today was 42 degrees.

Montreal is still under a heat warning, with humidex values of at least 40 degrees expected throughout the day and possibly until Friday.
