Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante marked the launch of the REM earlier today, saying this “is a historic day for sustainable mobility in the metropolitan region.”

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante has confirmed that the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) will be free this weekend on July 29 and 30.

The first section of the REM is now operational between Central Station and Brossard.
