Montreal support Ukraine Ukrainian people

One year later, Montreal restates commitment to supporting Ukraine and Ukrainian people

“Together, let’s bring a message of hope and solidarity to the Ukrainian population.”

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante released a statement this morning to mark the first anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Accompanying the statement, which pledged solidarity with the people of Ukraine and to help the country’s refugees, was a photo of the Ukrainian flag — the flag last flew at Montreal City Hall for Ukrainian Independence Day.

“One year to the day after the start of the terrible Russian invasion in Ukraine, the City of Montreal is reiterating its commitment to supporting the Ukrainian people and helping them. Together, let’s bring a message of hope and solidarity to the Ukrainian population.”
