Montreal police are flying the Pan-African flag at SPVM HQ for all of Black History Month

“The SPVM is proud to show its solidarity with the Black and Afro-descendant community of Montreal.”

This afternoon, Montreal police shared an image of the Pan-African flag flying outside their headquarters for Black History Month. The initiative is courtesy of the force’s Black and Afro-descendant employees.

The same flag has also been raised outside City Hall.

“On the initiative of the Group of Black and Afrodescendant Employees of SPVM, the Pan-African flag was hoisted this morning, for the whole of February. The SPVM is proud to show its solidarity with the Black and Afro-descendant community of Montreal.”
