Heat warning issued for Montreal on Tuesday, humidex between 35 and 38

“A cold front will bring a return to seasonal temperatures on Wednesday.”

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Montreal, with hot and humid weather causing humidex values between 35 and 38 on Tuesday.

“Reduce your heat risk. Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day. Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place. Outdoor workers should take regularly scheduled breaks in a cool place.”

Heat warnings are issued when high temperatures or humidity conditions pose an elevated risk of heat stroke or heat exhaustion, especially to young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
