Independence Day: Valérie Plante thanks Americans in Montreal for their contributions

Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante issued a statement this morning to Americans to mark Independence Day, a day that celebrates the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which established the United States as a country.

Plante thanked all American Montrealers for their contributions in helping to develop the city if Montreal.

“On this Independence Day in the United States, let us highlight the significant presence of people of American origin in our metropolis. I thank them for contributing every day to the development of Montreal.”
