Léger: Anti-vaxxers are at war with the system, not COVID

Léger President Jean-Marc Léger released a statement earlier this week on anti-vaxxers and COVID, timed with the trucker convoy protest happening in Ottawa calling for an end to all mandates and restrictions. While Léger confirmed that everyone wants to see restrictions end and normal life resume, those who believe in science realize that public health gets to decide, not us.

Jean-Marc Léger also shared an editorial cartoon by Drew Sheneman showing a woman yelling at a man on a ventilator, saying “Wake up! We decided COVID is over!”

A new Angus Reid Institute poll found that for the first time during the pandemic, a majority of Canadians say it’s time to end all restrictions.
