Montreal Alliance release schedule for inaugural season, starting May 25

Their first home game is against a Toronto team, obviously.

The Montreal Alliance have released the schedule for their inaugural season in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. The season, which takes place from May to August, will feature 10 home games at the newly renovated Verdun Auditorium as well as 10 away games.

The Montreal Alliance have released their 20-game schedule.

The Alliance’s first game goes down on May 25, versus the Hamilton Honey Badgers at the FirstOntario Centre. Soon after, the team will play their inaugural home game against the Scarborough Shooting Stars. The latter team is co-founded by longtime Drake affiliate OVO Niko and presents the opportunity for another Montreal vs. Toronto sports rivalry for the ages.

In the coming weeks, the Montreal Alliance will be making serval announcements, including their roster, coaching staff, mascot name and plenty more. The free agency period for the Canadian Elite Basketball League is set to commence later this month.
