A new series based on a popular podcast of the same name, Archive 81 hits Netflix today. It’s a creepy week over at Netflix — also available to stream starting Jan. 14 is the animated anthology series The House. This dark-comedy series features voice work from Miranda Richardson and Helena Bonham-Carter, among others.

And, for something a little different, season 3 of Too Hot to Handle comes to Netflix on Jan. 20.

Betty White Goes Wild! (new on Disney Plus)

Gone just weeks before her 100th birthday, Betty White will no doubt go down as one of our great entertainers. White has always had a passion for animals, even hosting a talkshow in the 1970s where guests could bring their pets. Disney Plus is bringing to their streaming service her 2013 documentary on big cats called Betty White Goes Wild! It’s available to watch as of Jan. 14.

Even if you’re a bit burned out on superheroes, if you haven’t watched Legion, it’s finally coming to Disney Plus on Jan. 19. The incredible Dan Stevens stars as David Haller, a “mutant” diagnosed with schizophrenia at a young age. It’s a dark and often nightmare-like series that ranks among the very best of the superhero genre. It ran for three seasons, from 2017 to 2019.

Joel (sans Ethan) Coen brings The Tragedy of Macbeth to the small screen on Jan. 14. This stark and cold adaptation stars Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand. Despite some interesting decisions, it doesn’t quite work, but might nonetheless be of interest. (Read our full review here.)
