Snow clearing and removal starts in Montreal

Montreal will be bombarded with snow today — as much as 35 cm across the island — and Mayor Valérie Plante has confirmed that snow clearing and removal teams are already on the ground to clear sidewalks and streets. The snow removal and loading operation will start once a sufficient quantity has fallen.

“Be careful in your travels,” said Mayor Plante.

According to the Weather Network, highways, roads, walkways and parking lots during winter storms may be difficult to navigate due to the snow accumulation, which could also make travel difficult in some areas.
