Quebecers aged 18 to 24 can make booster appointments today

“Fear is the mind killer.”

Quebecers aged 18 to 24 can now make appointments for a third dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, as per the province’s accelerated booster shot calendar.

Booster eligibility has been opening up to new groups every two to three days, as was the case with the vaccine rollout in Quebec last year, allowing all Quebecers over 18 to book their appointments as of today — a week earlier than the original schedule, which ran through Jan. 21. Quebec Health Minister Christian Dubé estimated in a Dec. 28 press conference that all adults should be able to get the shot by March, and with yesterday’s update it’s safe to say that that should happen earlier.

Anyone over 25, people with chronic illnesses, people who received two doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine, essential workers and workers in certain industries were already eligible for the booster. On Wednesday, Dubé urged anyone who’s recently recovered from COVID-19 to get the booster once symptoms have subsided.
