Justin Trudeau: “Antisemitism is not acceptable. Not in Texas, here at home or anywhere”

Trudeau released a statement following a hostage-taking at Beth Israel synagogue in Dallas yesterday.

Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau has released a statement on antisemitism following a hostage situation at a synagogue in Dallas, Texas on Saturday.

A man who reportedly interrupted a morning service and took four hostages died later that day following a police standoff.

Trudeau reminded Canadians of the importance of remaining vigilant in order to fight against all forms of hate.

“Antisemitism is not acceptable. Not in Texas, here at home, or anywhere. While I’m relieved the hostages are now safe, the situation at Congregation Beth Israel is a reminder that each and every one of us must remain vigilant and work together to combat hatred in all its forms.”
