Majority of new Quebec COVID cases, hospitalizations are double-vaccinated

Today, Santé Québec reported 5,043 new cases of COVID-19, of which 3,586 (71%) are among people who are double-vaccinated in Quebec. In the past 28 days, 27,680 (55%) of the 50,315 new COVID-19 cases, and 370 (50.2%) of the 737 new hospitalizations in Quebec are among people who are double-vaccinated. Of the 6 new intensive care admissions, 2 (33%) has received both doses.

In Quebec, the unvaccinated are still 14 times more likely to be hospitalized than those who are double-vaccinated.

The majority of new COVID cases and hospitalizations in Quebec are among people who are double-vaccinated.

Booster shots in Quebec can now be booked for anyone over 60, and for those who are immunocompromised.
