Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention in 2021

Let’s find out what was discussed and what predictions they made for the future.

The last 18 months haven’t been easy for all of us and the gaming industry is not an exception. We all know that it’s people’s business where cooperation, networking, and brainstorming make all the difference. Luckily, after thousands of Zoom calls and online meetings, representatives of the gaming industry managed to meet and discuss their innovations, vision, and predictions in a friendly and creative atmosphere.

The Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention engaged thousands of visitors and hundreds of exhibitors including International Game Technology, Scientific Games, and others. Let’s find out what they discussed and what predictions they made for the future.

Cashless gaming

The expo took place on July 19 – 22 at Caesar’s Forum, Las Vegas, and gave us lots of valuable insights on what to expect from the industry in the nearest future.

First of all, more and more companies are willing to switch to cashless gaming. Even though such technologies have been on the market for years, only now the benefits of no-touch products became obvious. This is confirmed by the innovations introduced by several companies including Everi and Scientific Games.

For example, the IGT cashless technology allows players to make bets by funding a Resort Wallet or loyalty card without spending any cash. Users can transfer funds across machines and tables inside the resort using a secure and convenient IGT management system. Two Las Vegas casinos have already implemented this technology.

CashClub Wallet introduced by Everi holds funds of the player and can be replenished using debit/credit cards and direct bank payments. The funds are checked and monitored via an application and self-service kiosks. It’s also possible to withdraw the winning.

Big displays

The next widely discussed issue is the size of the screen. Just imagine, instead of regular displays, you can dive into the universe of engaging plots and characters with an IMAX experience.

Ryan Scott, vice-president at Aristocrat, has presented Double Neptune’s cabinets with two 49-inch displays, 4K definition, and a button deck on 23,5 inches. This means that players can see the game from any spot and experience full immersion into the process. Imagine having fun at Captain Spins casino and experience such entertainment while playing your favourite slots.

Scientific Games decided to follow the Aristocrat’s example and are launching Willy Wonka: Dreamer of Dreams on a 55-inch and 4K display. Developers are sure that players would love to experience something new because they are already tired of slots on small smartphone screens. And with the implementation of big and tall displays, the popularity of offline venues will grow again.

Electronic table games

Even though electronic versions of such popular table games as blackjack and roulette are not new and have been popular on the international market, there are still casinos that haven’t used the ETG technology yet.  However, it’s already in demand and social distancing with other restrictive measures played a big part in such a twist.

Representatives of the Interblock Pulse Arena are sure that their live dealer modules are the future. Casino owners can move them across the hall to meet the restrictions and requirements, while players can enjoy their favorite games. Or even several games at the same time. Smaller buy-ins are also among the ETG advantages which allow beginners to enjoy the game at their own speed.

Jackpot Xpress

The Indian Gaming Tradeshow and Convention is considered one of the biggest meeting places to learn, educate, and exchange industry-related ideas. No wonder that innovations and changes concern more than the three technologies discussed above.

For example, Everi has created Jackpot Xpress, a digital jackpot system that has already passed several tests. This technology allows saving lots of time: winners won’t have to wait while the casino’s representative collects the necessary papers. Instead, Jackpot Xpress gathers user’s information and prepares tax forms. Plus, the winnings can be transferred to the CashClub wallet without the need to carry a bag with cash.

The market returns to life

Finally, representatives of the gaming industry can replace Zoom conferences with personal meetings. They cooperate, exchange experiences, and share visions in a close-knit and friendly atmosphere. No doubt that rather soon we’ll witness more collaborations and products. Let’s just hope that the next gaming expo will be held without any delays and rescheduling.
