A salute to Montreal’s Moroccan community on Throne Day

“I want to underline the contribution of the Moroccan community to the cultural richness of Montreal.”

Today is Throne Day, a national holiday in Morocco celebrated on July 30, commemorating the day the King ascended to the throne. Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante released a statement wishing Moroccans a happy Feast of the Throne, while saluting the city’s Moroccan community for their cultural contributions.

“To Moroccans from here and elsewhere, I wish a happy Feast of the Throne. At the same time, I want to underline the contribution of the Moroccan community to the cultural richness of Montreal.”

The Embassy of Canada to Morocco also released a statement to King Mohammed VI and the people of Morocco to commemorate Throne Day, tagging the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ottawa.
