Up to 30 cm of snow is expected this weekend across Quebec

Quickly accumulating snow could make travel difficult.

According to a special weather statement from Environment Canada, a significant snowfall of up to 30 centimetres is expected across Quebec this weekend. The worst hit areas in the province will be the regions of Saint-Jérôme, Trois-Rivières, Quebec City, Saguenay, Tadoussac, la Côte-Nord, le Bas-Saint-Laurent, Gaspé and Carleton-sur-Mer. In the Montreal, Laval, Longueuil – Varennes and Châteauguay – La Prairie regions, snow could reach 15 centimetres on Saturday and Sunday. The snow could be interrupted by a period of rain late on Saturday.
